Big doings here at Lehto's Law Central . Last night, my podcast crossed the 5,000 listen threshold, which seems like a nice round number. And better, a book I wrote has just come out. Has nothing to do with cars but it is a fun topic. American Murder Houses.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Pretty self-explanatory. A chapter on each house, the murder that took place there and whatever other information I thought might be of interest. The UPS guy who brought the box to my door interrupted me while I was recording Episode 14 of Lehto's Law .
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
But, because of my remarkable editing skills, you can barely tell when he knocked! This is an expansion on the topic I wrote about yesterday: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , LEGALLY. I address many of the questions and issues raised by commenters.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Carry on.
Steve

my dad dated a girl in highschool who lived in the amityville horror house. this was before the horror of course.
and then i lived in the building where the boston strangler murdered his first victim.
i currently live in a building that once housed an andy warhol-run nightclub. a bomb was set off (allegedly by the black panthers) on the dance floor eventually causing it to be shut down.
i never thought about all of these things together.
congrats on the book!

Since I enjoy your podcast so much, is that book available as an audio book? haha
Congrats on the milestone and book. Looking forward to this episode.

I don't think so. I'd do it myself but it would take a while!
Thanks.

Well done Steve, congratulations for the book and getting into over 10,000 ears!
So Glen Waverley beat Bundoora! It's so strange hearing a guy in Detroit mentioning these towns so close to home! The world is shrinking. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the note. I love looking at those lists of cities and then looking them up on the net.

I just listened to the latest podcast, Toorak now! Wow!
I doubt you would have ever heard this but as its car related you may find it amusing. As you mention in the podcast it's an affluent area. During the 80's as 4x4's(SUV's to you!) started to be more luxurious and used for suburban duties with no offroad use the name "Toorak tractor" became popular as a derogatory nickname. Looking forward to your next podcast to hear which suburb is leading! Glad there's so many car nuts in my state.

That is great. I might start using that.

Congrats on the book! And 5,000 listens! I have a listener request -
Care to take a swing at the age old "unsecured load" question and does it apply to people who don't clear the snow off their roof? What about tractor trailers and ice chunks off the roof, or for that matter just something that falls off the back of a truck?
I know you just cover Michigan law, but I believe most states have something about unsecured loads.

I'll take a look. Thanks.
